Poll 1: Should VAR Be Scrapped? 🗳️ 38,412 votes
This one was never going to be close.
- Scrap it entirely: 52% — "The game was better without it and anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves."
- Keep it but reform massively: 38% — "The technology is fine, the people using it are the problem."
- Keep it as is: 10% — almost entirely from accounts with referee profile pictures, suspiciously.
The 52% who want VAR gone entirely is up from 41% in our mid-season poll. The trend line is clear: every controversial decision pushes more fans into the "bin it" camp. If the PGMOL is paying attention — and they never are — they'd realize they're losing the PR war catastrophically.

Now we're getting into the spicy territory.
- Darwin Núñez to Chelsea (£85M): 34% — 4 goals in 31 appearances. Those are center-back numbers.
- Matthijs de Ligt to Man United (£65M): 28% — Bench player by November. The "Ten Hag reunion" narrative died fast.
- Raphinha to Newcastle (£58M): 22% — Injured for half the season, anonymous for the other half.
- Other: 16% — Including one write-in vote for "Chelsea's entire scouting department."
The Núñez vote is brutal but fair. Chelsea paid £85M for a striker who scored fewer goals than four defenders did. Wolves' Craig Dawson outscored him. Let that sink in.

Post-World Cup year, the race is wide open.
- Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid): 41% — The Madrid PR machine is already in fifth gear.
- Erling Haaland (Man City): 35% — 52 goals in all comps. The man is a statistical anomaly.
- Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid): 18% — If Madrid win the double, he enters the conversation.
- Lamine Yamal (Barcelona): 6% — The "he's 19" factor is wearing off. Now he needs trophies.
The Mbappé-Haaland split is basically a Madrid vs City proxy war. If Madrid win the Champions League, Mbappé wins the Ballon d'Or. If City win, it's Haaland's. The system is predictable but nobody seems to mind as long as their guy wins.

- Eddie Howe (Newcastle): 31% — Saudi patience is a myth. One bad month and he's gone.
- Ange Postecoglou (Spurs): 27% — "We always go for it mate" works until it doesn't. And it stopped working in February.
- Mauricio Pochettino (returning to Spurs... again): 23% — The sequel nobody asked for.
- Sean Dyche (Everton): 19% — New owners, same problems. The Friedkin Group didn't buy Everton to finish 15th.
